Lundgren's most recent Trio album, recorded with Svensson and Csörsz, is Flowers of Sendai (Bee Jazz), released in April 2014. In August 2014, Lundgren released his second solo studio album, All By Myself (Fresh Sound), which is a collection of standards from the great American songbook.
Long-time bandmate Mattias Svensson also contributes two pieces to the album, a showcase for the incomparable qualities of the JLT. Together with his trio, Lundgren improvises melodic while rhythmically intricate music with complex harmonies and structures. Jan Lundgren is a part of a long tradition of innovative Scandinavian pianists.
